Creation Evidence

The Natural History Museum was designed and built with the guidance of Sir Richard Owen as a cathedral to showcase the creations of God.

The Natural History Museum was designed and built with the guidance of Sir Richard Owen as a cathedral to showcase the creations of God.

Starting in the Evolution Garden and using the museum’s signage and displays alongside scientific evidence via presentation slides and short video clips, we start our journey through many of the galleries. We will examine the appearance of life, the age of sedimentary rocks, dinosaurs, human evolution, the bird gallery, fossil marine reptiles, and much more. Tour attendees are always surprised by the evidence!

Some of what you'll see

  • Polystrate trees. Fossilised trees are found around the world and run vertically through many layers of sediment that is relied upon to give the slow, gradual accumulation of millions of years of time.
  • Where are the intermediate forms? We will see video evidence of scientists frustration at the lack of intermediate ancestors, including the pterosaurs and the bats.
  • Finding creatures where they shouldn't be. Birds are found with the dinosaurs that they are supposed to have evolved from!
  • Soft tissues! How is it possible that scientists keep finding a range of different soft tissues in dinosaurs and marine fossils supposedly millions of years old.
